ChuChu Rocket

I bought ChuChu Rocket at the same time and place that I got Sega Rally, really only grabbing it because I knew it was a SEGA CLASSIC... Didn't really know much about it other than that, so I kind of sat on this game for a while.

Well that changed TONIGHT (11/2/23) because I finally shoved the disc into my Dreamcast, expecting a good time.... And a good time I got.

Something I'd like to get to right off the bat is that this game is SUPER simple. Which really isn't a bad thing. Puzzle games should be simple and easy to jump into (NOT ALWAYS THOUGH... SEE WETRIX+ REVIEW.) without having to go through 30 minutes of tutorials, which this game DOES NOT DO... You press play, and you're in, and it is just so simple and easy to understand and its just all so perfect.

The goal of this game is to guide these mices (ChuChus) into their rockets (ChuChu Rocket) using arrows that you place on the screen, all while trying to evade the evil cat creatures (apparantly called KapuKapus).

Like I said, its all very simple. Especially the normal mode. I was able to finish all 25 normal difficulty levels in like... I am pretty sure it was like 25 or 30 minutes, it was very easy. BUT, that is no problem because beating normal mode unlocks Hard mode, which I didn't play because I didn't feel like doing anymore after 30 minutes. Again, not a bad thing. It's a popcorn game.

Really thats all I have to say about ChuChu Rocket. It's a fun, simple puzzle game with a sweet artstyle and some very inoffensive background music. If you like puzzle games I recommend you check it out, you'll probably like it. If you like first-person shooters, I would tell you to NOT check this game out, because there are no guns in it. I give this game five cheese wedges.
