The Story of Orlok Entertainment LLC.
Founded in 1988 by the current CEO Orlok Holiday; Orlok Entertainment started out as a small video rental store just outside the Chicago Metropolitan area, eventually growing into the sixth largest movie and game rental company in the United States and Canada. The company rented and sold VHS tapes, Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, video games, and various systems and machines to operate these formats; even creating and selling their own video game console the Orlok Interactive Omnisystem.
By 2005 the company reached its peak store total of 3,600 locations in the United States, and 12 locations in various parts of Northwest Canada.
Taking notice of the diminishing sales of home video formats and growing disinterest in video rental, Orlok Holiday was quick to reorient the company into an online retailer of movies and games. In 2009 the company closed all 3,612 stores, moving all stock to a singular warehouse in Colchester, Vermont.
In 2010, seeking to find a more profitable business venture, Orlok Holiday would go onto restructure the company towards the Amusement, Gambling, and Recreation sector through the purchasing and rebranding of GMT Properties. Creating the Club Orlok brand, as well as the wildly successful Orlok Casino of which Orlok Entertainment is mainly recognized for today.
Today, Orlok Entertainment remains to be one of the most profitable companies in the entertainment industry, further branching out to all sectors of the industry as well as continuing to sell the remaining inventory of VHS tapes, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, and games through Orlok Entertainment Liquidation.
